My journey is a testament to my unwavering passion for the arts and design. From an early age, I exhibited a fascination with home design, often sketching house plans inspired by places I had visited or seen. Armed with a tape measure, I meticulously calculated dimensions to accurately represent spaces on paper. My formal education as a Fine Arts major at St. Bernard High School provided a solid foundation for my creative endeavors. At the University of Miami, I further refined my skills by studying architecture and earning a degree in business marketing.
My career trajectory led me to Silicon Valley, where I achieved early success as a tech executive. My innate creativity played an integral role in my business accomplishments, prompting me to undertake design projects alongside my corporate responsibilities. By the age of 40, I decided to pivot fully toward my design aspirations, relocating to Los Angeles to immerse myself in the visual experiences of TV and film. I studied Production Design at Santa Monica College and soon contributed to various productions, including commercials, music videos, films, and television programs such as HGTV’s Property Brothers. Notably, I was part of the design team for HGTV’s “A Very Brady Renovation,” recreating the iconic 1970s Brady Bunch house in Studio City, California.
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted me to return to my roots on the East Coast, seeking proximity to family and friends. This move catalyzed the official launch of Andy Nacsin Design and Build, a venture that had been simmering for decades. Today, I leverage my diverse experiences to offer clients unique design solutions, blending my artistic vision with practical expertise.
